Test Scoring
There are two Scantron services available for exam scoring at the CETL (1350 Surge III): walk-in service and computer-based test analysis.
Walk-in service
Note: Walk-in service is not the same as the computer-based service (see below).
Hours are 10:30 am – 12 noon and 1 – 5 pm.
- Bring a ScanTron key already made out.
- Optional: You can choose to have the keyed answer printed on each student’s form when the student misses a question.
Computer-based test analysis
Hours are 1 – 5 pm.
- Appointments are required. Email testscore@ucdavis.edu or Barbara Mills at bjmills@ucdavis.edu
- Students must:
- use the form UCD2000 (available at the CAMPUS BOOKSTORE and the VENDING MACHINE in Olson Hall);
- bubble in their student number in the space provided; and
- bubble in the version (A, B, C, or D). If there is only one version of the test, students must bubble in Test Form A.
- Bring a key (along with the exams) on a UCD2000 form (same as exam).
- Output:
- Scores and student ID numbers in electronic format with instructions for uploading into Excel, Smartsite, MyUCDavis Gradebook;
- Difficulty and discrimination index showing item difficulty and discrimination between students who performed well and those who did not;
- Class response form showing each student’s answer for each question (print and/or electronic).
- Options:
- Weight the questions differently;
- Remove questions from an exam;
- Process multiple versions of an exam.
