A Bug’s Life
Instructor: Walter Leal, Department of Entomology, College
of Agricultural
& Environmental Sciences
Description: The major goals of this seminar are to
discuss the
idea of human intrusion in the insect’s world, make students aware of the
fascinating aspects of bug’s life, change student’s
attitude towards
insects, and describe how one can be paid and have lots of fun in the various
career opportunities in entomology.
Format: There will be no activities outside
regularly scheduled
contact hours. Our justifiably proud entomology graduate students are willing
to participate in this seminar. By sharing their stories, they want to make a
difference in the lives of freshmen and possibly pull them over to
our insect-loving
side. Grading: Students will be graded on the basis of
a short report and a brief presentation of a favorite topic.
